I started this painting on the first lake we hiked to. It was a
very serene place and you could watch the fish jumping in the
lake, however we didn't catch anything here. My oldest
granddaughter kept asking me about the sticks in
the water... you know...."How did they get there?"
....."What was there first the tree or the water?"
Seeing life through a childs eyes....almost makes me
wish I were a kid again!

I feel the serenity in this painting. The surface of the water is fantastic. I think your vacation fueled your inspiration.

These last two painting are wonderful....I wouldn't want to be a kid again in this time, however, it is great to have the children around to give us a different view of reality...The girls are good for you...
You sure get great colors for the "blagh" desert scenes....
