I am working on some still life paintings to practice on some of my weak areas. I don't really enjoy doing still life paintings and would much rather do landscapes and wildlife but I feel my work will benefit if I do something different for a while and who knows maybe I will grow to like this form of painting.

I read that a lot of artists seem to go through a FUNK at this time of the year.....Boy, can I relate to that! I think I am going to do some of my stained glass projects just to break up the monotony.

P.S... I would really appreciate opinions about this painting....I struggled with it alot...so any critiques from my fellow bloggers would be most welcome to help me see things outside of my BOX!

Thanks for Visiting!

Well, I like the painting a lot...If you wanted to change something, maybe the dark areas could be a little darker...I like the wheat and the fall colors. I can see you spent a long time on this work...You are soooo talented!! Will talk when I get back.

Thank you Susie! unfortunatly I spent TOO much time on it and it probably looks overworked. Thanks for the thoughts on my darks....I will take a look at that! I appreciate YOU!

Wow! I like it Kathy. I think I would just move on to the next one. I bet it looks really good in "real life".
