Jarbidge Nevada "Tree Study" No.1

8x10 Oil
To purchase please contact me, Kathryn@anaturalframe.com
This is a study of Trees!
Some of the artists that I admire have an amazing way of capturing the beauty of trees. I know.....such a simple thing your thinking to yourself......but I can assure you, to paint them without them looking overworked......and looking like a real tree in the forest is not so simple.
This tree stand is one of many up in the Jarbidge, Nevada area where the evergreen trees there look like perfect cones....I am not sure exactly what kind of trees they are, so if you happen to know the correct breed I would love to hear from you!
Thanks for Visiting!

Don't know the name of the evergreens, but you sure make a pretty painting of them...You have always been a good "tree" girl.

I love the trees too....Beautiful painting...

Well, here I am again to post another comment. Jarbidge is another one of those places that inhabit my dreams. The site of these trees, which might be spruce, invokes a sense of awe. Their sheer beauty and the fact that they apparently survived the devastating fires in recent years give cause for gratitude. At any rate, you have immortalized them in this painting.

Thank you again Brian! I do so appreciate your visits and comments on my blog.
I am sure too that they are some kind of spruce trees....in Jarbidge they all seem so perfectly shaped it is hard to believe they live out in the extreme elements.
