Last fall I went out to paint for the morning and wasn't feeling very inspired until I came a little closer to the hay bailer at work in the field and saw the blue flowers in their glory along the road. Sometimes it is the simplest things that need to be captured on canvas to make my day.

Sleeping Wolf Study

A fun little study on a wolf. My son loves wolves and recently asked for a wolf painting, so before he gets one I will be studying them intensely. I am using mine and my daughter-n-laws photo's that were taken in Yellowstone as reference material and reading up on their habitats. I have painted a couple before but that was before I knew what I know Now!  LOL.  Growing better and wiser is one of the best things about age, don't you think?
